Sunkmetis turi aktyvinti jaunimo veiklas
Lietuvos Respublikos Prezidentė Dalia Grybauskaitė susitikime su jaunimo Nevyriausybinių organizacijų atstovais išsakė savo poziciją, kad jaunimo politika turi išlikti prioritetine sritimi, o už jaunimo reikalus atsakingos institucijos privalo imtis reikiamų žingsnių jaunimo interesams ginti ir jų veiklai skatinti. Pasak šalies vadovės, sunkmetis neturi sužlugdyti pilietinio ugdymo ir sustabdyti aktyvaus jaunimo veiklos.

LR Prezidentė, įvertindama jaunimo organizacijų svarbą visuomenėje,  kvietė jaunimo lyderius aktyviai veikti ne tik didžiuosiuose šalies miestuose, bet telkti ir atokiausių rajonų jaunus žmones. Šiuo metu tik 20 procentų jaunų žmonių dalyvauja visuomeninėje veikloje.

Prezidentė kvietė jaunimą aktyviau dalyvauti ne tik visuomeniniame ir kultūriniame, bet ir politiniame šalies gyvenime. Šalies vadovė įsitikinusi, kad nauja karta gali pakeisti politinę kultūrą, padėti kurti pilietinę visuomenę, savo gebėjimais prisidėti prie šalies gerovės kūrimo.

Prezidentė ypač pozityvia vertino sunkmečiu savanoriška jaunų žmonių veiklą, kuri turi būti populiarinama kaip vertybė ir ieškoma būdų, kaip teisiškai reglamentuoti šią veiklą. Tuo labiau, kad 2011 metai visoje Europos Sąjungoje bus paskelbti Savanoriškos veiklos metais.

Lietuvos Respublikos Prezidentė Dalia Grybauskaitė pažadėjo toliau siekti, kad šalies jaunimui būtų prieinamas kokybiškas išsilavinimas ir garantuotas aukštojo mokslo finansavimas.
