Kad bent kiek tos Lietuvos dar dūšioj liktų... O taip kartais norisi išsikeikti, išsirėkti, išsispjaudyti. Ne, ne ant Lietuvos. Močiutė, vyniodama rožytes iš tampomo spalvoto popieriaus, man, šešiametei, Trispalvę sulipdė. Sakė, kad tai tikroji Lietuvos vėliava, o ta, kurią dabar matom, yra netikra, išgalvota. Tik pridėjo pirštą prie lūpų ir liepė niekam šito nesakyti. O popierinę Trispalvę senoj indaujoj už smetoninių puodukų užkišo.

Paskui su seneliu ėjau klausyti Vatikano radijo. Ir senelio pasakojimo apie tai, kaip kažkokie kareiviai mūsų troboj kitą kareivį nušovė. „Kodėl jie vis apie tą grietinę (aut. - smetona žemaičiai vadina grietinę) šneka?“ - svarstydavau pati sau. Bet niekas man nenorėjo paaiškinti.

Tėvas, palypėjęs kopėčiom iki vėliavos laikiklio, vos galėjo ją nulaikyti. O tas nenusakomas naujumo kvapas ir kažkoks ypatingas vėliavos gurgždėjimas vėjyje dar šiandien galvoj ūžia. Dabar mano penkiametis sūnus Vasario 16-osios išvakarėse repetavo Tautišką giesmę, kad tik šventėje prie Karo muziejaus visus žodžius atsimintų.

„Kodėl žmonės tokie neprotingi, kad savo gatves šiukšlina?“ - pamatęs krūvą buitinių atliekų ant šaligatvio stebisi mano darželinukas. Ir dar jį labai stebina, kodėl vaikai savo prezidento neturi: „Aš norėčiau tokiu būti. Mama, kada bus rinkimai?“

O pradinukė dukra jau kuria visą veiksmų planą, kaip Aleksoto šlaituose talką organizuosim. Kad tik sniegas greičiau nutirptų!

Kažin, ar gali labiau Lietuvą mylėti, jeigu tau iš visų lietuvių kišenės kas mėnesį sumoka 26 tūkst. litų algą? Arba jeigu pasiskelbi save nacionaline vertybe? Arba kai važinėji prabangiu automobiliu, skirtu Seimo nario veiklai? Arba kai nerausdamas meluoji? Arba pastatai viešiesiems poreikiams labai brangų tualetą, kuris neveikia? Arba... Tpfu!

Ir vėl velkamės tautinius kostiumus – einam švęsti Kovo 11-ąją, laisvės 20-mečio sukaktį.

Ir keista, kad valdžia dar nesugalvojo beprotnamio. Idiotams patriotams, tokiems, kaip aš...
