ES vertinta Lietuvos finansų prevenciją
Strasbūre (Prancūzija) Europos Tarybos Ekspertų komitetui dėl priemonių, nukreiptų kovai su pinigų plovimu bei teroristų finansavimu (Moneyval) Lietuva pateikė 2 metų ataskaitą. Joje detaliai išdėstytos priemonės, kurių dėka  buvo įgyvendinama pinigų plovimo ir teroristų finansavimo prevencija.

Po svarstymo Europos Tarybos ekspertai palankiai įvertino Lietuvos 2 metų veiklos raportą ir jį patvirtino.

Moneyval komiteto uždaviniai – plėsti ir stiprinti kovą su pinigų plovimu ir teroristų finansavimu tiek nacionaliniu, tiek tarptautiniu lygmeniu. Valstybių narių vertinimo pagrindu (Lietuvoje ekspertai lankėsi 2006 m.)  Moneyval atlieka strateginį planavimą, formuoja kovos su pinigų plovimu ir teroristų finansavimu politiką, inicijuoja politinius sprendimus ir reikalingų įstatymų ar jų pakeitimų priėmimą nacionaliniu lygmeniu. Moneyval komitetas nuolat prižiūri, kaip valstybės narės įgyvendina vertinimo ataskaitose nurodytas rekomendacijas.

Didžioji dalis Moneyval komiteto rekomendacijų jau įgyvendintos įsigaliojus LR pinigų plovimo ir teroristų finansavimo prevencijos įstatymui. Įgyvendinant likusias rekomendacijos, suplanuotos ir vykdomos priemonės, parengti atitinkamų teisės aktų pakeitimai ir papildymai.

Kitąmet planuojamas 4-asis Moneyval ekspertų vertinimo vizitas Lietuvoje. Jo metu bus vertinama, kaip pinigų plovimo ir teroristų finansavimo prevencijos priemonės įgyvendinamos Lietuvoje ir kaip ši sistema atitinka tarptautinius standartus.
