Stiprinamos nevyriausybinių organizacijų pajėgos
Trečiasis (NVO) sektorius iki šiol neturėjo bendriesiems NVO reikalams spręsti skirto kolegialaus instituto, kuris galėtų užtikrinti tolygų NVO sektoriaus interesų atstovavimą, ginti viešąjį interesą, kai tai susiję su pilietine visuomene, ir derėtis dėl valstybinio finansavimo, skirto nuosekliai plėtoti pilietinės visuomenės organizacijų veiklą šalyje, tokiu būdu stiprinant demokratiją.

Šių funkcijų vykdymui buvo būtina sukurti adekvatų teisinį ir organizacinį naryste ir mandatais grindžiamą NVO sektoriaus interesų atstovavimo mechanizmą.

"Praėjus kelerių metų darbui pagaliau pavyko žengti naują žingsnį NVO konsoliduoto darbo link. Dvylika nacionalinių NVO asociacijų sutarė bendradarbiauti siekiant NVO sektoriaus plėtros šalyje bei stiprinti trečiojo sektoriaus pamatus kuriant pilietinę visuomenę Lietuvoje. Sekretoriato funkcijas vykdys NVO informacijos ir paramos centras (NIPC)" - teigia Martinas Žaltauskas, NVO informacijos ir paramos centro direktorius.

Bendradarbiavimo sutartimi sutariama bendradarbiauti reglamentuojant NVO teisę, formuojant NVO politiką ir jos įgyvendinimo mechanizmą, tobulinant mokestinę sistemą bei kitais klausimais, susijusiais su trečiuoju sektoriumi.

Prieš kelias savaites koalicijai paskelbus apie savo planus ir artimiausių metų veiklą, LR Prezidentūra, LR Vyriausybė bei LR Seimas išreiškė nuoširdžius sveikinimus šia koalicijos iniciatyva ir pažadėjo skirti visas pastangas tokio bendradarbiavimo labui.

"Lietuvos Respublikos Prezidentė savo kalbose ne kartą yra pabrėžusi, kad itin svarbus vaidmuo formuojant pilietinę visuomenę tenka nevyriausybinėms organizacijoms. Todėl veikla skatinanti pilietinį aktyvumą bei veikianti valdžios ir NVO sektoriaus partnerystė, svarstant ir priimant valstybei svarbius sprendimus tiek nacionaliniu, tiek ir vietos lygiu būtina, nes tai kiekvienos stabilios valstybės pagrindas. Tikime, stiprios nevyriausybinės organizacijos atlieka valdžios pilietinės priežiūros vaidmenį ir užtikrina, kad valdžios institucijos tarnautų žmonėms." - teigia LR Prezidentės vyriausioji patarėja Virginija Budienė.
