Mažinamas greitis ir važiuojama su žieminėmis padangomis
Nuo lapkričio 1 d. Lietuvos keliuose, įveltinant žmonių sveikatos ir gyvybės saugumą, draudžiama važinėti su vasarinėmis padangomis, o automagistralėse nemažinti greičio.

Pagal nustatytas Kelių eismo taisykles (KET) nuo lapkričio 10 d. iki balandžio 1 d. šalies keliuose draudžiama su vasarinėmis padangomis eksploatuoti tas transporto priemones, kurių leidžiama maksimali masė ne didesnė kaip 3,5 tonos.

Dygliuotas padangas leidžiama naudoti nuo lapkričio 1 d. iki balandžio 10 d. Lengviesiems automobiliams automagistralėse ir greitkeliuose nuo lapkričio 1 d. iki balandžio 1 d. leidžiama važiuoti ne didesniu kaip 110 km/h greičiu.
Lengvųjų automobilių žieminių padangų protektoriaus gylis turi būti ne mažesnis kaip 3 mm.

Saugaus eismo specialistai pataria vengti įsigyti naudotas ir restauruotas padangas, bet rinktis naujas. Naujų padangų modernesnė technologija, jų protektoriaus guma minkštesnė, geresnis sukibimas su kelio paviršiumi, jos yra saugesnės. Dygliuotos padangos važinėjant mieste nėra būtinos. Naudojant tokias padangas ant automobilio būtina prisiklijuoti skiriamąjį ženklą, informuojantį apie tai.

Pėstieji, kaip ir dviratininkai, eidami neapšviestu kelkraščiu arba važiuojamosios dalies kraštu tamsiuoju paros metu, privalo vilkėti ryškiaspalvę liemenę su šviesą atspindinčiais elementais, arba prie drabužių prisisegti atšvaitą.
