Krizės poveikis užimtumui Baltijos valstybėse
LR Seimo ir Europos ekonomikos ir socialinių reikalų komiteto spaudos konferencijoje žurnalistai buvo supažindinti su renginio „Krizės poveikis užimtumui Baltijos valstybėse“ pranešėjais, Lietuvos, Latvijos ir Estijos nuosmukio socialiniais aspektais, krizės įveikimo priemonėmis.

LR Seimo ir Europos ekonomikos ir socialinių reikalų komiteto (ES patariamasis organas) surengtoje tarptautinėje konferencijoje dalyvavo naujai išrinktas Europos ekonomikos ir socialinių reikalų komiteto (EESRK) pirmininkas Staffan Nilsson, LR Seimo Pirmininkė Irena Degutienė, kalbėjo už užimtumą, socialinius reikalus ir įtrauktį atsakingas Europos Komisijos narys László Andor, Lietuvos socialinės apsaugos ir darbo ministras Donatas Jankauskas, Latvijos socialinės gerovės ministrė Ilona Jurševska, Estijos socialinių reikalų ministras Hanno Pevkur ir Seimo socialinių reikalų ir darbo komiteto pirmininkas Rimantas Jonas Dagys.

Taip pat konferencijoje dalyvavo ekspertai iš trijų Baltijos valstybių vyriausybių ir administracijų, Europos Sąjungos institucijų pareigūnai, EESRK nariai, verslo organizacijų, profesinių sąjungų ir NVO atstovai. Bus nagrinėjamas sudėtingas socialinio ir pilietinio dialogo ekonomikos krizės sąlygomis klausimas ir vertinamos kovos su krize priemonės, kurių ėmėsi trijų šalių vyriausybės.
